War is a terrible act. I am hoping that posting this section in my web-site will remind us all of that. We often see the statistics of men killed in WWII. 10,000 here, 40,000 there. You never really see the faces of those who died. It's hard to fathom that many people dying. Sadly, it's because of this that wars are often chosen to settle differences between peoples. People usually do not even begin to imagine how horrible war is, even when a veteran in front of them is telling them of the horrors. The men below all died in, or as a result of war. Each one of these men died for the ignorance of war mongers, and those who sought to invade other countries for land, profit, and power. These men are just a VERY small percentage of the statistics. Every time I look over the faces of these men it almost brings me to tears, knowing that each one of these men died without getting to live the rest of their lives. I feel that it is my duty to remember these men. They not only deserve to be remembered, they have earned the right to be remembered, for they are the victims of one of the most viscous instincts of human nature-- War.

This section is also to serve as a tribute to these brave men, who in time of need, gave up their lives for what they believed was right, or at least what they were led to believe was right by the Dictator they were taught to follow. For those fellow collectors out there, These are the men who wore the medals, uniforms, helmets, etc you, and I collect. These items of history honor brave men who can no longer speak their story, and by collecting these items we collect parts of their story so that future generations can remember what past generations have done. Keep in mind that most of the men that died in the Soviet Union have no grave because advancing Soviet soldiers would desecrate German cemeteries. For many of these men, this is their only memory. America, Germany, The Soviet Union, France, Great Britain, etc. produced some of the bravest men that the world has every seen, and this page is to honor one of those countries brave men.
