RAD Photo Album

These photos show the the early days of their service, probably during the early stages of the war, when the war was far from Germany.

These photos show the time period in which these men were no longer under the authority of the State's Work Service, but under the Command of the German Military. The transfer of these men from workers to fighters was an apparent hint that Germany was loosing soldiers and needed replacements for the front. Notice how they didn't even change the uniforms they, only armbands which say in English "German Military", meaning they were part of the German military now.

It took me awhile to realize what this photo was of. It shows men in very well concealed positions.

One last night of fun before heading to the West Wall.

These photos were taken while at the West Wall at the border of Germany.
